A global security technology and services company turned to Bolt PR for its expansion in the U.S. market. Already a prominent name internationally, Bolt PR needed to bring high profile, meaningful press coverage to support sales enablement and grow the brand and credibility in the U.S. market. Through proactive media relations surrounding core brand news, thought leadership and newsjacking, our team not only grew share of voice and positive sentiment in the U.S., we also drove 40x ROI from new business deals closed in the first six months of our engagement.
Partner with usPress releases and niche industry coverage alone were not going to make the impact this prominent global B2B brand needed. As of 2022, the U.S. security market was valued at approximately $48 billion. Competition is fierce and telling a differentiated narrative was paramount. With an incredible reputation and brand recognized internationally, our B2B tech PR team needed to drive quick and meaningful results in the U.S. and ensure this brand’s innovative edge was well articulated and promoted.
We kicked off our PR partnership focused on the timely launch of a new security product, targeting national news and business media, as well as trade press across retail, adtech, security and technology. This announcement alone resulted in press across Barron’s, Lifewire, NBC News, SalesTechStar, Small Business Digest podcast, RFID Journal, AiThority, D&D Daily, IT Security Wire, MarketScale and Secure Access Control, to name only a few, and in only two months. Then we pivoted our focus to driving a differentiated narrative for the B2B brand through core brand news, thought leadership and newsjacking on timely stories, while balancing the needs of the brand’s various and differentiated business units. We developed media pitch notes about the brand’s innovative products, services and approaches to meeting clients’ security needs; we hosted regular calls with leaders of each business unit to hear their unique perspectives on issues and challenges facing their clients that we then turned into thought leadership pitches and contributed articles for publishing. And we closely monitored breaking news stories to repeatedly and successfully position the brand’s leadership team for timely interviews related to security breaches, cybersecurity, shootings, thefts, and other highly relevant security trending topics.
By capitalizing on company news, in-house experts, and breaking news stories, in our first year of partnership, Bolt PR secured 232 highly targeted media placements, reaching nearly two billion in readership and tripling the client’s share of voice in the U.S. market. We also increased positive sentiment for the brand in the U.S. market and substantially increased website traffic to the U.S. domain. Most importantly were the business results. Through our partnership, Bolt PR was able to help drive five times the amount of new business, equivalent to 3,700% ROI on new business deals closed (not to mention the substantial pipeline).
