Public Relations Account Executive – Raleigh

Position Requirements:

• A minimum of four years of agency and/or corporate communications experience
• A degree in communications, public relations or journalism preferred
• Established media contacts and a proven track record of generating quality press coverage
• Proficient and knowledgeable in the use of social media
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced environment
• Excels in both individual and team environments

Public Relations Intern – Orange County and Raleigh-Durham

Bolt Public Relations, a division of Bolt Enterprises, Inc. and an award-winning public relations, marketing communications and social media agency in Orange County, CA, and Raleigh, NC, is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join its team for summer 2012!

Internship Requirements:

• A current college student- communications, public relations, marketing or journalism major  
• Interning for college credit preferred
• Ability to work a minimum of 12-15 hours per week
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
• A strong intellectual curiosity and positive attitude
• Ability to define and exceed goals, take initiative, and understand PR functions
• Proficiency using Microsoft Suite and Outlook is a must. Proficiency using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Twitter, Facebook, Word Press, and LinkedIn preferred

Responsibilities Include:

• Engagement in daily account activities, including news writing and editing
• Participation in internal strategy development
• Active involvement with media relations and editorial tracking
• Media list development
• Assistance with special events and press conferences
• Editorial and media clip monitoring and tracking
• Support in creative efforts, including traditional media relations and social media management
• Industry research of media, market and competing brands
